Four
years, I think it's been four years. Well, thereabout, has been the
length in time it took me to FINALLY complete this project. It went
through a time on my old Performa 6320CD, but then, I got my G4 Power Mac
and an appropriate digital video encoder (Hollywood DV-Bridge). The
first thing I did was encode a whole load of clips and started work on
this music video once again. The video quality is FAR, FAR superior
to that of the original, uncompleted version.
This music video was originally created for the intention
of being a part of FOREVER HORROR, but it just became a personal project
like all the others featured here. It was the original, and it is
now here. I chose only the very best clips I could find to compile
into this video. Eight films on DVD to work with (no clips from the
original "FRIDAY THE 13TH" or "JASON X" appear in this video). So,
it was difficult pouring over all of them, finding the proper clips I needed
for each section of the song. I, of course, wanted the images to
coincidence with the lyrics as much as possible. I also wanted to
make the video as solid as possible by making it, more or less, a compilation
of some of Jason's best, scariest moments!
The final kicker in this video is the one idea that's
been kept where all others have been discarded. A won't say what
it is, but it is the final shot of the music video. It's the one
I required a slight use of Adobe Premiere, just for dramatic effect.
Other ideas I've had where a montage of the main title sequence from each
film, a montage of Jason's unmaskings, and possibly more. But you'll
see a few nice montages herein. I'm certain ALL "Friday" fans will
enjoy this 4 minute music video.
Using Alice Cooper's "He's Back (The Man Behind The Mask"
was THE only choice! Though, I used the version featured on "THE
LIFE & CRIMES OF ALICE COOPER" box set. It's the "Movie Mix",
and is just about the SAME mix that is featured in the closing credits
of "Friday the 13th, Part VI: JASON LIVES"! Also, don't ask me where
that image of "Alice
vs. Jason" originally came from because I don't know. Maybe an
insert photo for the song's single. Just a guess. |
